“Red Barn FREE Range Chickens are grown on our farm in George, on the magnificent Garden Route of South Africa. Our farm has the most beautiful view of the Outeniqua Mountain range, it’s close to George Airport and about 10km from the center of GEORGE in the Western Cape. Our Farm shop is open to the public.
People often ask us why our chickens taste so good – so “in an eggshell”.
We absolutely love our chickens and enjoy inventing new ways to make them happier and more comfortable, out on our pastures. This is no easy feat as Pasture reared chickens need lots of attention.
I’ve always had a dream..
To grow chickens in a totally FREE environment with moveable shelters. People thought I was “cuckoo”.. maybe, but we’ve done it! After much learning and many mistakes, it’s a dream come true! We are now growing Big, Fat, happy, healthy, FREE chickens and Free range eggs that taste absolutely “Deevine”.
WE PROMISE we never use routine antibiotics nor do we inject with brine! Animal welfare and humane farming are what we aspire to.”
What did we build for Red Barn Farm?
The restaurant and shop will consist of a steel structure with wood and steel cladding covered with IBR roofing. The construction is well underway.

Courier
We use MTK Couriers. A small family-owned company who are really attentive to our needs. We ship your goods in Polystyrene boxes which must be returned immediately with the courier as they are really expensive. We pay and arrange for the courier and we will let you know the driver’s phone number. The driver will have all your details and he will call you if he needs to arrange something with you.

We have specials running online every week, so be sure to check them out in our online shop. You also receive points for ordering online that you can use at a later time. BUT… If you are nervous of ordering online, just call, or email us with your order, we will send you an invoice for payment, its as simple as that!

Sharing Delivery Costs or creating a CHICKEN CLUB
If you would like to share the delivery costs (courier fee) with a friend or two, or your whole office we are quite happy to arrange this as long as the order is delivered to one address. We will pack and mark EACH order with your name for your convenience. The courier fee will be shared amongst you.
